Hurricane Michael moved through Albany, Georgia on Wednesday October 10 as a Category 3 Hurricane, causing community-wide damage including mass power outages, loss of water supply, loss of revenue to businesses and structural and property damage. Personal Financial Support
- Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Assistance – Assistance including grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster are available to citizens of counties declared as federal disaster areas (Baker, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Miller and Seminole) through FEMA.
